Channel 4 is claiming victory over ITV in the battle for lucrative ABC1 viewers. In 1994 all but one of the top 50 best converting programmes were on Channel 4. Cutting Edge was the most popular C4 programme in 1994 with Shops and Robbers’ report on shoplifters viewed by 9.8 million.
