The ITC has received one application for the local delivery franchise area of Totton and Hythe; the applicant is Videotron Southampton and Eastleigh Ltd, the company which operates the neighbouring franchise, and a subsidiary of Videotron Holdings plc.
The ITC also only received one application for the local delivery franchise for Glamorgan and Gwent; the applicant is CableTel South Wales Ltd, the company which already operates the cable franchises in Cardiff, Newport and West Glamorgan. The application proposes to serve 230,000 homes in the new franchise area.
