A local delivery franchise for the Chichester and Bognor Regis area and the Haywards Heath area have been advertised by the ITC at a meeting held on 13th April.
The Bognor Regis and Chichester have an advertised area which comprises of about 85,000 homes and the Haywards Heath area has an advertised area of 33,000 homes but it is for each applicant to decide for which parts of the area to apply.
A local delivery franchise is the equivalent of a cable franchise, enabling a local operator to provide cable television and telecommunications services within the area concerned, utilising not only cable but microwave frequencies in the 40 GHz band.
Applications for all areas must be submitted to ITC by 10 July 1995.
