Movie Channel For Carlton

According to recent reports, Carlton Television is planning the launch of a subscription based movie channel on digital terrestrial television. A spokesperson from Carlton could not comment on the issue but it is believed the company will apply for a licence to the ITC for one of the 20 channels available when digital television is launched.

The move by Carlton will stiffen the competition with current movie channels such as Sky Movies, Movie Channel and Sky Movies Gold.

There is also speculation that Carlton are interested in launching a sports channel on digital television under subscription.

…Channel 4 unveiled its new logo in a bid to revamp its image. The four circles are said to represent Channel 4, the audience, its programming and the environment it reflects.
