The passing of more relaxed cross-media ownership rules on Friday November 1 meant that many ITV companies experienced high prices at the start of last week.

Border was up 6.5 to 310p on Monday, with the price hovering around this mark for the majority of the week. STV had risen to 733.5p during the first part of the week but dropped back again after the rumoured takeover of Grampian failed to materialise. The main mover of the week however was Yorkshire-Tyne Tees TV which hit a 52-week high of 1315p on Tuesday due to an expected bid from Granada. Though this peak could not be maintained, the company still finished the week on a strong price of 1300p.

CIA does not seem to have been affected by its bitter dispute with Laser over alleged unpaid bills and remained at a constant 143.5p all week.
