New Agency For Manchester
A new ad agency is set to launch in Manchester, according to reports in the trade press. The new venture is thought to be the brainchild of three ex-CIA Media Solutions executives who left in May and were rumoured to be planning the set-up of a new independent.
The Media Business Group is reported to be backing the venture being set up by Paul Wheeler, Declan McKenna and Andrew Bartholomew, though a spokeswoman at TMBG denied all knowledge of the new agency. Tentative names for the outfit include BMW (Bartholomew McKenna Wheeler) and Media Business (Manchester).
The news of a breakaway agency coincides with the launch of New PHD, the media planning and buying outfit set up as a result of a buyout by AMV in May (Newsline 23/05), next Monday.
