LoveFilm strikes deal with MGM

LoveFilm have landed a digital distribution deal with US company MGM.

Starting from September, members will be able to watch a selection of MGM films through LoveFilm.com.

These films will be available online, or through the LoveFilm Player available on internet-enabled devices.

Titles included in the deal include West Side Story, The Apartment, and Hot Tub Time Machine, amongst others.

Simon Calver, chief executive of LoveFilm, said: “With the digital revolution underway, our opportunity for growth is huge and the addition of MGM titles is a substantial development in enhancing our digital catalogue.”
