Woman’s Realm Gets Facelift

IPC Magazines’ Woman’s Realm will go under the surgeon’s knife and get a new look for the September 17 issue.

The 38-year-old woman’s weekly has, according to IPC, been given a fresher and brighter cover style plus a more feminine and elegant editorial. Other changes will include new typefaces, cleaner, less cluttered layouts and longer articles. The revamp is hardly surprising in view of Woman’s Realm‘s disappointing ABC figures over the last nine years, falling from 625,000 in 1987 to 280,000 this year. In the latest ABCs the title was the one of the weakest amongst the IPC women’s weekly stable, recording a drop of 14.83% to 280,553 copies.

The new look will be supported by an ad campaign running in IPC’s other titles including Woman, Woman’s Own and Woman’s Weekly.
