Reed Acquires Blakebeck

Reed Business Publishing has this week confirmed its acquisition of Blakebeck Magazines, which publishes grocery and catering titles.

Blakebeck’s portfolio includes Checkout (UK), Checkout Fresh and Inside Hotels. The company had planned to move into the consumer market earlier this year with the launch of Go Travel. The launch was postponed and now looks unlikely to go ahead under the new management.

Reed, which will retain the majority of Blakebeck’s staff, is likely to move the magazines to its Sutton offices.
