The four Channel 5 bidders will discover the High Court’s decision this afternoon on whether the ITC’s decision to award the licence to Channel 5 Broadcasting was legal.
The hearing, which began last week, was brought by one of the unsuccessful bidders, Virgin Television, who claimed that the ITC acted improperly towards Channel 5 Broadcasting, and that their own bid was rejected unfairly. The other unsuccessful bidders, New Century and UKTV, were also allowed to put forward their cases at the hearing.
