Music magazines fared badly in today’s ABC release, with just two titles recording a circulation increase last year.
Bauer Consumer Media’s Kerrang! performed well, up 4.5% year on year. Future Publishing’s Metal Hammer also enjoyed a small 0.1% year on year rise in sales.
Despite a 4% year on year fall, Channelfly Enterprises Ltd’s The Fly remains the most popular title in the sector with a total circulation of 105,000 copies.
All of the other music titles in our analysis also saw their circulation figures decline over the year.
The worst hit was IPC Ignite’s NME, which suffered a 16.4% year on year drop in sales.
Overall, the Music market is down (on average) 4.5% on last year.
