Eastenders To Join Friday Night Line-Up?
It is reported in today’s Sun that a fourth weekly episode of Eastenders will go out on Friday evenings, after Coronation Street. The four times a week format, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, will be tested during the Olympics next month; if it is a hit, the Sun reports, it is expected to continue. The BBC hopes to attract audiences for the Olympics after Eastenders finishes.
The BBC however, this morning insisted that this story is not confirmed. Eastender’s arch rival Coronation Street is to go four times a week from October, with their fourth episode on a Sunday night.
