Westcountry Considers Flotation

According to reports in today’s press, the privately held ITV franchise Westcountry is considering a flotation on the stock market.

The move may open the door for larger media groups, such as Granada or HTV, to acquire a majority stake in the company. Analysts believe Westcountry would be worth between £70m and £100m. Stakeholders in Westountry at the moment include the Daily Mail & General Trust and Southwest Water.
