It has been reported that talks and the preparation of documents are underway to forge a deal between the two advertising agencies McCann-Erickson and the Leith Agency. It is rumoured that such a deal would result in McCann taking the 45% stake in Leith which is currently held by 3i.
According to Campaign, McCann would use the deal with Edinburgh-based Leith to boost its presence in Scotland, and Leith would gain from McCann’s international network as well as receiving a financial windfall for its directors.
