Flextech plc has today announced interim results for the six months ending 30 June 1997. They show that turnover for the company rose by 80% from £24.8m in 1996 to £44.6m in 1997, this was helped by the subscription revenue increasing by 67%.
Flextech has recently completed a deal with the BBC to jointly launch a number of new subscription channels in the pay-TV market as well as the further development of UK Gold *Flextech And The BBC Finally Shake Hands .
Roger Luard, Group Chief Executive, said: “As a result of our strategy of taking control of our associated channel investments, we have succeeded in repositioning our channel portfolio to attract a broad range of advertisers and viewers.”
