ITV Revenue To Treasury Is Set To Fall
Press reports claim that a revaluation of ITV licences will lead to a reduction in the sums ITV companies pay to the government.
The ITV companies in total pay an annual £400 million to the treasury. No mention has been made of how much this sum will be reduced by. Savings for the companies could be considerable because the new valuations will be based on the 1997 rather than the 1991 licence value.
