IPC To Get Back On Its Bike

Another cycling title is to be wheeled out of IPC Magazine’s bike shed. IPC announced today that it is launching Mountain Bike Rider a new monthly magazine for mountain bike enthusiasts. Group editor, Andy Sutcliffe, will oversee all of the IPC cycling titles.

Mountain Bike Rider is marketed as a premium-quality title with a core target readership of 18-35 year old men who are active mountain bikers. The magazine aims to provide readers with well researched and reliable information, entertaining editorial, product testing, bike reviews, a mechanics section, a bike buyers guide and a unique health notes file.

The first edition of Mountain Bike Rider, cover dated April, goes on sale on 14 March. It will join the other IPC cycling titles; Cycling Weekly and Cycle Sport.

Publishing director, Andy McDuff, said, “With over a third of UK adults now owning a bike, a launch into this mature and growing sector is a natural progression of our publishing strategy.”

The launch coincides with news last week (Future Launches Biking Title) that Future would be launching Total Bike!, a less specialised cycling title, around April time.
