The BBC has announced that it is going to scale back the video content within its red button services on Sky, Freesat and Virgin.
It plans to reduce the number of video streams available on the platforms from five to just one. Freeview was already just one stream.
These changes are due to its focus on its ‘Connected Red Button’ service, which Daniel Danker announced earlier this year at the Digital Television Group summit in March.
The changes to the existing red button services will commence on 15 October.
