Internal Changes At Future

Future Publishing announced some further appointments this week, following its creation of an advertising director on Friday (see Newsline).

David Roberts has been moved to the role of international development publisher, and David Lilley has been made contract publisher.

John Weir becomes publisher of Future’s online business, FutureNet, and both Jackie Garford and Rob Price move up to the position of publisher.

Seventeen promotions were made in addition to three new board members, and chief executive Greg Ingham commented on the developments:”This graphically indicates the level of ambition and faith we all have in the new Future Publishing. I reckon these have been the most dramatic few months in this company’s history.”

Future bought itself out from Pearson in April for £142 million (see Newsline), and is currently the UK’s fifth largest consumer magazine publisher.

Greg Ingham:”There is absolutely no letting up. We’ve got a lot of growing to do, hence these many promotions. And there are more due later in the year…”
