IPC Gives Options A Makeover
IPC has announced that it will be investing in a relaunch for its ailing Options magazine. The monthly women’s title has seen its circulation fall from over 218,000 in 1986 to 127,000 in 1997.
The new look will appear from the July issue, on sale June 5, and includes a “dramatically” different cover design in the form of a double cover and new logo.
Promotional plans include marketing activity below the line with a PR programme along with reader promotions and above the line advertising.
Editor Lesley Johnston commented: “I have expanded the brief on Options, so not only do we deliver strong features content, there’s added value in those attainable, affordable ideas throughout the magazine. We will have something for everyone who does not mind admitting to be a happy, addicted and purposeful shopper.”
