TV market round-up: October 2013

The latest TV market round-up for October paints a healthy picture for commercial television channels, with Total Satellite revenue up almost 40% year on year, compared with just 7.4% in September.

Channel 5 once again recorded a strong performance, up 21.2% to total revenues over £30 million, while ITV 1’s 12.1% rise took the free-to-air broadcaster close to the £140 million mark.

ITV Breakfast revenue was up 17.6% to just over £6.6 million, meaning that – despite Channel 4’s slight -3.8% decline – Total Terrestrial was up 9.4% overall, surpassing £226 million for the month.
