Cinven, the venture capital firm which recently bought IPC from Reed Elsevier, has announced the appointment of David Arculus as part-time chairman of the publisher.
It is expected that Arculus will be leaving United News & Media, where he is chief operating officer, at the end of April 1999 when his contract expires (subscribers see Arculus To Leave United).
