Exterion appoints chief technology officer

Exterion Media has appointed Josko Grljevic to the newly-created role of UK and group chief technology officer. The move forms part of a wider senior reshuffle, which has seen the Telegraph’s Dave King become UK managing director, while former MD Jason Cotterrell has been named group development director.

Currently strategy and performance director for Barclays, Grljevic will be responsible for technology, new platforms and strategy to digitise the agency’s business model.

Prior to Barclays, Grljevic was IS director of Trainline.com. He has also held senior roles at Tesco and Microsoft.

Exterion’s CEO Shaun Gregory said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to welcome Josko to the Exterion Media team. Our company is entering a new phase, as we digitise ourselves both operationally and the way in which the medium is bought and sold.

“The sector is changing very fast, and we want to continue leading that change, essentially providing best in class solutions for our people and customers.”

Grljevic, who begins his new role on 8 February, said: “Joining the Exterion Media team was too good an opportunity to miss. The business has clearly changed a great deal, and now leads a very exciting and thriving sector.
