IPC is launching a major research project designed to measure consumer perceptions of its flagship brands.
The IPC Brand Equity Monitor has been commissioned through NOP Media to provide ongoing research into the way consumers view magazines published by IPC and its competitors. The research will be used to develop marketing strategies across IPC’s portfolio of titles and will assess the performance of individual magazines.
The project will be led by IPC Southbank’s marketing director, Helen Farquhar and consumer and market knowledge manager, Amanda Wigginton. The first wave of research will begin at the end of October followed by a second wave in March next year.
IPC’s group marketing director Phillippa Brown, said: “Marketing remains at the top of the business agenda for IPC Media and this project is the next phase in the ongoing investment in marketing throughout the company.”
Associate director of NOP Media, Graham Williams, added: “The scope of research will provide IPC with an unrivalled understanding of its consumers and the magazine markets they operate in.”
IPC saw circulation across its portfolio of brands rise by 5.8% in the latest ABC results.
