RAJAR Results Q3 2002 – Local Commercial Stations

The tables showing the best and worst performers, in terms of weekly reach and share of listening, of the local commercial stations broadcasting outside London are now available to subscribers in Radio reports.

The following stations are reporting with new survey periods: Kix 96 and 107.4 The Quay will now report yearly; Key 103 (Manchester) and Magic 1152 (Manchester) will now report quarterly and Real Radio (Yorkshire) will now report half-yearly.

New groups in this quarter’s report are: Total SRH Group; SRH Scotland Region; Total Real Network; Fusion Group of Stations; Fusion South London Group; 103.2 Power FM/Capital Gold Hampshire and Capital Radio Group Midlands/South Wales (BRMB Radio/FOX FM/Red Dragon Radio/106 Century FM, which are all reporting half-yearly. Kick and Kestrel, which is also new, will be reporting yearly.

The following Name changes have occurred: Mercury FM (Surrey & Sussex)/Classic Gold Breeze 1521 is now Mercury FM (Surrey & Sussex)/Classic Gold 1521. Classic Gold Breeze 1521 has become Classic Gold 1521. FM107.6 The Fire is now Fire 107.6 FM. Total Jazz FM is now known as Total Jazz Network. The Capital FM Network (inc. Beat 106) has become The Capital FM Network. Capital Radio Scotland (Beat 106) is now Beat 106. The Century FM Network has been changed to The Century Radio Network. Capital Radio London (inc. XFM) will now be known as Capital Radio Group London (95.8 Capital FM/Capital Gold London/104.9 XFM London). Capital Radio South (Invicta Radio Group/Ocean Radio Group/Southern Radio Group) is now Capital Radio Group South (Invicta Radio/Southern Radio/Ocean Radio). Total Invicta Radio has become Invicta Radio (Invicta FM/Capital Gold Kent). Total Southern Radio Group has been changed to Southern Radio (Southern FM/Capital Gold Sussex). Total Ocean Area is now Ocean Radio (103.2 Power FM/Ocean FM/Capital Gold Hampshire). Capital Radio North (100-102 Century FM/105.4 Century FM/Capital Gold Manchester has become Capital Radio Group North (Beat 106/105.4 & 100-102 Century FM/ Capital Gold Manchester). Total BRMB Birmingham has changed to BRMB Radio (96.4 FM BRMB/Capital Gold Birmingham).

Capital Radio West (Red Dragon FM/Capital Gold South Wales is now known as Red Dragon Radio (Red Dragon FM/Capital Gold South Wales).
