More O’Ferrall Increases Offering With Cal Brown Deal

Clear Channel UK’s billboard business, More O’Ferrall, has signed a five year deal to market Cal Brown Advertising’s portfolio of outdoor sites in London.
The deal, which runs from 1 July, will add 200 48-sheet sites, including scrollers, ultravisions and backlights, to More O’Ferrall’s existing line-up. The company is hoping that the deal will further strengthen its offering to advertisers following Clear Channel UK’s acquisition of Score Outdoor last week (see Score Outdoor Sale To Create Third Force In Market).
Commenting on the deal, Jonathan Lewis, managing director of More O’Ferrall said, “Although only small in numerical terms, we believe that the exceptional quality of Cal Brown Advertising’s sheetage will help us fulfil our ambition to deliver the best billboard business in the UK.”
Clear Channel UK is planning to merge More O’Ferrall with Score Outdoor to create a third national force in billboard advertising. The decision has been welcomed by the IPA’s outdoor division, which says that the merger will benefit advertisers by creating more competition within the outdoor sector (see IPA Outdoor Welcomes Clear Channel UK Acquisition).
