It is being reported that all the ITV Digital pay TV services will cease at midnight tonight, after administrators Deloitte & Touche told operators BSkyB, MTV and UKTV that it could no longer afford payments for the services unless a buyer was found.
A statement is expected later today from Deloitte & Touche, but it is thought that it has been their decision to pull the plug, as the operators have been providing services for nothing. The move will leave 1,500 ITV Digital staff without jobs and around 800,000 viewers without pay-TV services.
