Flextech Secures Fancy a Flutter For Interactive Sponsorship

Flextech television’s Soap Addicts show has secured a unique sponsorship agreement with Sky’s interactive betting channel, Fancy a Flutter.

The deal, which runs for the whole of August, will include Fancy a Flutter branding at the beginning and end of the show, which airs on Challenge TV weekdays at 11.30am and 4pm, as well as during advertising breaks.

The sponsorship will also include an interactive element and Sky viewers will be able to enter the quiz by pressing the red button on their remote controls. Fancy a Flutter branding will appear on the Soap Addicts segment of Flextech’s interactive games network and across the national ‘Soap Genius 2003’ competition, which will run in Mecca Bingo clubs to find Britain’s brainiest soap fan.

Commenting on the agreement, Martin Graham-Scott, managing director of Fancy a Flutter said: “Soap Addicts on Challenge offers the perfect audience for our interactive TV games proposition – a following who love soaps, bingo and playing along with interactive TV. We are particularly excited to be the first ever sponsors of Challenge’s revolutionary interactive games service.”

Jon James, commercial director of Flextech Television, added: “Fancy a Flutter has taken an early, strong position in the interactive fixed odds games market. We’re delighted to be working with them to maintain and accelerate their growth. Challenge’s audience is clearly defined, young and technology savvy, and we think our innovative package of TV sponsorship of the Challenge Games Lounge will help Fancy a Flutter get a march on their competitors within a gameshow environment.”

Flextech Television recently appointed Lisa Opie as managing director, following Jane Lighting’s move to Channel Five (see Flextech Appoints Opie As Managing Director).
