Emap’s Magic 105.4 is to launch a £1 million TV advertising campaign beginning this Wednesday, to be shown on Channel 4, ITV and Five throughout May and June.
The 30-second execution features a woman driver stuck in road works in the rain. She tunes in to Magic 105.4 and as she listens to Magic playing ‘Everything’ – the new single from Michael Buble – her mood transforms and she can see beauty even on the greyest of rainy days.
Nicola Thomson, marketing director of Magic 105.4, said: “We are incredibly proud of our new commercial which clearly demonstrates how Magic’s unique mix of music can lift your mood. It will reaffirm our position with our loyal listeners and entice potentially new listeners to give Magic a try.”
The creative is by St Luke’s with media planned and bought by Starcom.
At the last RAJARs, Magic FM (London) had a weekly reach of around 1.8 million and a 5.5% share of listening. It was the nearest rival to Heart 106.2 in the Capital, with its reach growing 9.5% and its share of listening up 0.6% points year on year (see Heart 106.2 FM Retains Top Spot In London).
