EMAP are among five bidders thought to be left in the race to take over Maclean Hunter European Publishing (publishers of BRAD) from Rogers Communications, which itself is taking over Canadian parent company, Maclean Hunter.
It is claimed that up to 25 bids were made. Others remaining on the short list include Bertelsmann and Pearson.
