‘Future Of Online’ Line-Up Finalised

Mediatel Group Two final panellists have been confirmed for MediaTel Group’s forthcoming ‘Future of Online’ seminar, with Richard Firminger regional sales director, Northern Europe, at Yahoo!, and Louise Ainsworth, MD EMEA Nielsen Online, completing the line-up.

The pair will add further weight to the event, joining Sheryl Norman, digital director at Omnicom Media Group, Adam Freeman, commercial director at Guardian News and Media, and media journalist Ray Snoddy.

Chaired by the BBC’s media correspondent, Torin Douglas, the seminar is likely to examine the state of online research, look at the progress with an industry currency and how it could grow advertising revenue.

With the addition of Ainsworth in particular, the issues surrounding the requirements for online data and the implications of JICIMS seem certain for the agenda, whilst the inclusion of Firminger comes at an interesting time for Yahoo! following last week’s news that Microsoft has offered $44.6 billion for the company (see Microsoft Offers To Buy Yahoo! For $44.6bn).

Online revenue growth will also be an important subject, along with the future of social networking and IPTV. Agencies will presumably be examined, and what it means when they say they “put digital at the centre” of the business.

The event will take place on Tuesday 12 February, between 9.30am and 11.30am at One Great George Street in Westminster, London. Tea and coffee will be served from 8.45am.
