Numis To Orchestrate Centaur Flotation

Centaur Communications is to be sold and floated on the Alternative Investment Market, it has been confirmed.

Numis, the UK investment bank and stockbroker is to buy the publisher and conference organiser and immediately sell it on the AIM, a process known as an accelerated initial public offering.

The deal, which is said to be worth in excess of £130 million, would be only the third accelerated IPO in the history of the stock market.

Centaur, which employs more than 600 staff, publishes 35 titles including Marketing Week, The Lawyer, The Engineer and New Media Age. It also arranges conferences and exhibitions around the UK.
