Virgin Bids For London FM Licence

On Tuesday, Virgin will submit a bid for one of the three London FM licences on offer this summer, in an attempt to gain better reception for Virgin 1215 in London and thereby increase their audience share.

If successful, Virgin London would still be part of the Virgin 1215 network and have the same music and DJs, however there would be some distinct programming for London. A London FM station would also allow Virgin to hand back one of their AM frequencies, probably 1197AM.
