CMP Outperforms Hi-Tech Publishing Market In February

Advertising page volumes in the business information technology market fell by 16.8% year on year during February, according to CMP Media, the technology publishing subsidiary of United Business Media.

In difficult economic conditions, CMP is performing credibly and its continuing technology publications recorded a 14.8% decrease against February 2002. In the first two months of the year, CMP saw a 15.4% fall, as against a 17.3% decline for the whole market.

In the twelve months to February 2003, the business information technology sector experienced a 27.1% slump in advertising page volumes compared to the year ended February 2002. CMP’s hi-tech titles recorded a 17.5% decline over the same period.
