The new licence for the Chichester, Bognor Regis and Littlehampton area has been issued to South West Sussex Radio Ltd.
The station will provide music, local news, information and speech based programmes. Jim Brooks, chairman of the Volunteer Group said that music will cover late ’50’s and ’60’s. The audience profile will be aged between 25-55. There is a 75%-80% music mix but the evening will be given to speech-based programming, including local information.
Stephen Oats, currently Managing Director of Wessex FM will be joining SWSR as Managing Director soon and will control both stations for a short time.
