The Independent Television Commission has announced today that it is to reduce the licence fees payable by its licensees in 1995, and has published tariffs for 1996. The fee payable by all of the ITC’s licensees in 1995 (terrestrial, satellite and cable services) has been reduced by 5%, amounting to £0.8m in total. This rebate has been made possible because of non-licence fee income. The fee tariffs for 1996 have also been set, at 26.6% below the level set in 1991.
