MSM To Launch Sales For New Station, KFM

Media Sales and Marketing, the radio sales house, has been appointed by KFM, the new Kent based radio station which launches on 8 July 1995.

KFM will launch on 96.2 FM from a transmitter close to Tunbridge Wells, with studios in Tonbridge. KFM will have a service area stretching from Westerham and Borough Green in the North to Crowborough and Hurst Green in the South and Edenbridge and East Grinstead in the West to Coxtead and Goudhurst in the East By the end of this year, KFM intends to have expanded further northwards with an additional transmitter on 101.6 FM, although an exact air date is yet to be announced.

KFM will broadcast to a potential listenership of 250,000 adults and children (rising potentially to 350,000 by the end of 1995), and plans to offer a mix of music to appeal to a broad range of age groups. In addition, regular local, national and international news, local traffic and travel features and a daily magazine programme will be included in the service.
