TV Viewing Summary W/E 09/07/95 – Sharon Topples Corrie
Thursday night’s edition of Eastenders has knocked Coronation Street off the top spot on the top thirty programmes list. The episode, which was the last one in which Sharon Watts appeared, attracted 15.18 million; over 100,000 more people than watched Monday’s episode of Coronation Street.
The BBC’s decision to switch the Wimbledon Men’s single final to BBC1 has seen an increase in viewers, up from 6.21 million last year to 7.89 million this year, although this is still less than last year’s Women’s singles final which attracted 8.09 million.
Television viewing for the whole of the week ending 9th of July has fallen slightly on last years figure, down 0.2%.
