Granada has denied any interests in a possible take over of Manchester United Football Club. A spokesperson told Newsline that “certain articles in today’s press are just speculation.”
Last month a similar move by Michael Grade, head of Channel 4, was turned down by the club *(ITV Abandons Euro Rugby Cup). Links with the club were suggested because of possible pay-per-view opportunities open to Granada to screen Manchester United games.
