Amra Heads New Business Drive
Sales house Amra is heading a consortium of the UK’s regional morning newspapers in a bid to generate business from the personal finance sector.
According to Andrew Harding, associate director of Amra, the personal finance sector is only focusing on the national press and missing out on a large proportion of its target audience in regional areas. As a result the sales house is asking advertisers to offer highly competitive rates in areas where national press penetration is weak.
A programme of meetings has been set up with ten leading advertising clients from the sector and the interests of various financial matters for regional newspaper readers will be highlighted.
Publishers in the alliance include Bristol United Press, Caledonian, Eastern Counties Newspapers, Guardian and Manchester Evening News Group, Midland Independent Newspapers, Scotsman Publications, Trinity, United Newspapers and Westminster Press.
