Troubled Sunday paper Sunday Business has apparently been saved from closure by Group 2000, the industrial equipment manufacturer. In June the fledgling paper was given 90 days in which to sort its finances out and find a new backer *Sunday Business Faces Restructure.
…The Evening Standard will drop its cover-price to 10p today in an effort to boost sales. The promotion will take place on every Thursday for the next three weeks and coincides with the move of new listings magazine Hot Tickets *Evening Standard To Launch New Section from Friday to Thursday.
…The Cornish Guardian, a Northcliffe title, will change its format to tabloid from October 3 as a result of “clear and positive demand” from local readers. According to JICREG data, the title has a readership of over 94,000 with 69% being ABC1s.
