General Cable Losses Drop To £6.1m

Quarterly financial results released by General Cable show that losses were slightly down at £6.16 million before tax compared to £6.2 million last year.

Revenues rose however by 49% to £17 million: 43% of this came from telephony, 32% from cable tv and 25% from business customers. In terms of cable tv subscribers have increased by 33% to 94,588 and churn rates have dropped from 41% to 36%. Overall penetration remained steady at 23% (compared to 24% last year) .
