Raymond Russell Publishing will be launching What Fashion in March next year. The glossy monthly will be aimed at fashion-conscious women in their early twenties, cost £2.20 and have around 220 pages of features and photography spreads.
…Future Publishing is rumoured to be planning a yachting title called Sailing Today for a spring launch.
…The Irish Press Group, which stopped publishing in August 1995 after owners Irish Press Newspapers went into liquidation, has been put up for sale. The titles, the Evening Press, Sunday Press and Irish Press may then begin publishing again if a buyer is found.
…The Plain English Publishing Company has launched a new weekly magazine which is aimed at filling the gap between local newspapers and monthly county magazines. The Sticks will be available to Home County readers, with the first magazine aimed at Hertfordshire readers. Other issues aimed at Bedfordshire, Essex and Cambridgeshire are also planned. Editorial will feature a mix of local and national news.
…Football Monthly, which was closed in October after publisher Pro Sport Media went into liquidation, has been put up for sale.
…Haymarket Publishing has closed its home cinema title VTV with most of its content being assimilated into What Hi-Fi.
