Press rumours indicate that Flextech, the cable and satellite group, will scrap The Family Channel and replace it with a new service aimed at upmarket women.
The new channel, which would launch in September, would probably be run by Nigel Packard who is currently The Family Channel’s director of programming. It is believed that most of the programming would be original formats produced in the UK.
