Rapture Sets Up Sales Operation With TSMS
The new teenage cable channel Rapture is to have an air-time sales team based at the ITV sales house, TSMS, which will be led by former broadcast director of Initiative Marketing, Robert Ditcham. TSMS is owned by United News & Media which also has a major shareholding in Rapture.
Rapture‘s programming will target the upper end of the 12-20-year-old age group aiming to truly reflect the audience’s lifestyle. Ditcham believes the difficulties of reaching this group will attract advertisers to the channel.
The channel is due on air in November, after numerous delays, (subscribers see Rapture Looks To November For Launch) and will launch to 700,000 homes and broadcast initially between 10am and 8pm only.
