Press Complaints Commission Outline Proposals For Change
The Press Complaints Commission has announced a set of proposals for changes to the industry’s Code of Practice. Announcing the plans Lord Wakeham, chairman of the PCC, said that he had been particularly impressed by the radicalism of tabloid editors who had shown a “sincere determination to respond swiftly to changed circumstances.”
The new proposals, which will be considered and implemented by the newspaper industry’s Code of Practice Committee, include:
