Losses Grow At Telewest

Telewest this afternoon announced financial results for the three months to 31 March 1997 which show net losses reaching £69.7m, up 31% on last year. This is despite an increase in total revenue of 39% to £90.4m. Revenue from cable TV was also up, rising 36% to £38.1m while churn fell 0.8% points to 32.6%. Penetration was up year on year to 22.2%.
