ITV has announced that the extended episode of Cracker, due to be broadcast on 16th October which involved the rescheduling of the News at Ten, will now be broadcast on Sunday 22nd October at 9pm. The move follows criticism from the Independent Television Commission which were not immediately informed of the move.
The episode in question is a repeat of a previous episode entitled Cliffhanger, which concluded last years series.
Marcus Plantin said, “When problems arose over the scheduling of Cracker, my first concern was to make sure our viewers did not miss out. I have now re-arranged the schedule to make a real event of the first story in the same way that we sometimes schedule one of our other dramas, Prime Suspect.”
