NTL has been awarded the contract to construct and operate the digital terrestrial TV networks for ITV and C4’s services, which will be called Digital 3 and Digital 4. The contract is worth £250 million.
Digital terrestrial television is due to launch in the UK in the Autumn though it will be preceded by BSkyB’s digital satellite service in the Summer.
