Televisions

Total television revenues were up across the board in September, with the exception of Channel 5.

Channel 4 enjoyed the highest percentage increase – up 18.7% on September 2009.

ITV1 also posted a substantial 11.7% YoY rise in revenues as it continues to recover from last year’s downturn.

Channel 5, on the other hand, saw a drop in revenues over the one-year period to September 2010. Richard Desmond acquired the broadcaster in August.

Overall, total terrestrial revenue was up 12%, with a higher 22% uplift for total satellite.
